ADVNTS 2013

It's that time of year again when myself and Brad Dykes of Studio Armell produce ADVNTS - our visual advent calendar for everyone who hasn't got a tiny piece of chocolate to eat every day.

This year we've decided to do something a little different, with each daily image building up to a grand finalé on Christmas Eve...

The Oakleys Wedding Stationery

I recently had the pleasure of designing the invites and other printed materials for the wedding of two very good friends of mine. The project was fun not only because I would be there on the day to see the outcome, but because the Oakleys wanted an aesthetic that represented them as a couple; modern and cool without being austere, or veering on the twee side.

Gee & Tea Live Jazz Sesions

A fun little poster I designed for  live jazz night at The Russet in Hackney recently. More nights to come, so watch this space!

Netil House & Hackney Downs Studios Open Studios

I recently designed the promotional posters for the open studios at Netil House, and sister venue Hackney Downs Studios.

Both venues are run by the Creative Network Partners so they wanted the artwork to tie together the series of events, but by using different colour-ways, the two venues could be differentiated between.

Create in Brighton Live

Create in Brighton recently celebrated the final of their Instagram competition with a Simian Mobile Disco live show. Nice to see the logo I designed used in such a different way in their light show!

I recently completed the logo design for singer & DJ Michelle Manetti. She wanted it to reflect her love for everything 80s and 90s while creating a logo that was striking and playful.

Create in Brighton: Hidden Depths

Create in Brighton is back! This time with a competition based on the popular image-sharing-photo-filtering app Instagram. I evolved the branding to incorporate the official Tiger Beer Hidden Depths artwork, and to give the identity a fresh feel to celebrate their latest competition.

Create In Brighton

Create in Brighton is a graphic design, illustration & photography competition in association with Tiger Beer and KNOW THE NOT KNOWN. I created their identity and a series of promotional items. The second round of the competition (marked with a different colourway) ends with a live Ghostpoet gig to celebrate the final of the competition. You can still vote for you favourite entry.

Always Uncommon Mothers

This Sunday is Mother's Day. Don't panic, as there's a little something going on in Brighton that you can treat your mother to. Art, design, fashion, cupcakes AND free tea! It's on at the Green Door Store near the station 12pm-5pm. I'll be there with some new prints and goodies, and a special one-day-only discount on some of my prints you may have seen online.

Toilet Talk

I was recently commissioned to paint a mural on the toilet walls of Madame Geisha. I was given a free reign so decided to do something a bit different to the usual art they have on these walls. Giant, trippy floating blocks were what came to mind. Obviously.
